REPROOFING
Properly done, reproofing is a process available only to your drycleaner. While not intended as a complete waterproofing it does restore the original showerproofing which can be lost with wear, exposure to the weather and cleaning. It also restores some of the natural finish of the fabric and helps to keep it clean by giving it some resistance to dirt and grime.

Reproofing is good value for any garment per garment. You can find the price is the Price List section under What We Can Do for You.
Normally any garment intended to provide protection against the weather should be reproofed every time it is cleaned. This will extend the life of the garment as well as maintaining its appearance for as long as possible.
IT'S WINTER - TIME TO REPROOF YOUR GARMENTS
One way your drycleaner can help you prepare for winter weather is by re-proofing your coats, jackets and windbreakers. Reproofing is an interesting process. The reproofing agent attaches to the fibres of the fabric making each fibre water repellent. Thus the garment is not actually waterproof as water may still penetrate between the fibres. A fair description of the process would be "shower proofing". The garment also retains its ability to "breathe". Most drycleaners refer to the process as "reproofing" as it restores the natural water-resistance that a raincoat has when new.

REPROOFING IDEAL FOR FURNISHINGS.
Because reproofing makes each fibre water-repellent, it helps the fabric resist dirt and water-based stains. A drink stain is more easily removed from a reproofed fabric because it is less likely to have penetrated the fibres. This makes the process ideal for cushions, squabs and other furnishing items small enough to bring to our factory.
REPROOFING AND SCHOOL UNIFORMS.
Reproofing is ideal for school uniforms. It can help prevent school blazers from delaminating in the event of their getting wet. Reproofing can also help to prevent dirt and stains setting on school kilts and pinafores, keeping them cleaner-looking for longer.
Reproofing is a very small cost for a treatment that will help protect and preserve your garment, and keep you drier in the rain
