Our largest machine has the extra feature that we can clean your drapes at a lower temperature than is needed for cleaning clothes. This virtually eliminates all risk of shrinkage and means that usually your thermal drapes can be cleaned safely as well.
All drycleaners will only clean your thermal drapes at your own risk, as they are not a long-life product and the thermal backings are prone to deterioration on exposure to light and especially to sunlight. However, we do clean many thousands of dollars of thermal drapes each month and feel we are very experienced at being able to do the best job for you.
Our prices for cleaning drapes are the cheapest you will find: $5.00 per square metre for most lined drapes and $4.50 per square metre for most unlined drapes. This includes free pickup from and delivery to your home or work in the Christchurch area. We're also happy to remove and rehang the drapes for you if you need help. Our normal service is that we need the drapes for two nights. Faster service, including same-day service is available, but conditions apply and there is a surcharge.
Mildew is a common problem with many drapes, particularly on the lining or thermal backing, which are the areas next to the glass. We do have treatments available for mildew and are happy to talk with you about what might be most suitable for your requirements. If you have a query just ring and ask for Grant.
We are often able to rectify smoke and water damage if you have had a disaster in the home and can usually get rid of smoke odour effectively. Our services are used by several insurance companies and damage brokers on occasion.
We are able to restore the length of drapes which have shrunk due to contact with water or from previous cleaning. We can do this in your home without taking them down. No remaking is involved although the process takes a little time

We can clean your Roman or Austrian blinds. There's not many drycleaners who handle this work, as normally they won't fit into the drycleaning machine. However, it is time consuming and we need to have them over a weekend, preferably to collect them on Thursday for return on Monday or Tuesday.
